POLICIES FOR
QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND Food SAFETY.

The management of Temix Oleo SpA, in order to demonstrate its leadership and commitment to the Quality, Environment and Safety Management System (SGQAS) as well as Food Safety, undertakes to:

  1. Define objectives for the quality, environment, health and safety of workers as well as food safety that is consistent with the present Policy and compatible with the context and strategic guidelines of the Organization;

  2. promote continuous improvement, the achievement of the established objectives and understanding of the needs of the interested parties and the context in which the organization operates;

  3. Determine and address the risks and opportunities that may influence the conformity of products and services and the capacity to increase customer satisfaction;

  4. Take full responsibility and the overall obligation to account for the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as the preparation of safe and healthy workplaces and activities;

  5. Understand the commitment to providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses, and is appropriate the purpose, size and context of the organization and the specific nature of its OSH risks and opportunities for OSH;

  6. Promote the use of the approach for processes and risk-based thinking;

  7. Ensure the integration of the requirements of the SGQAS company within the business processes of the organization;

  8. Determine, understand and regularly satisfy customer requirements and applicable regulatory requirements, in order to always provide products and services that meet their expectations at competitive costs and always conform to the applicable laws and regulations;

  9. To maintain the focus on increasing customer satisfaction, guaranteeing them the quality of the product, the punctuality of delivery and the speed of response to their needs;

  10. Monitor the performance of the processes and the SGQAS in terms of effectiveness and efficiency;

  11. Invest in technological innovation and in research and development (R & D);

  12. Promote production diversification and the creation of tailor-made products to meet the needs of customers in the various industrial sectors;

  13. Involve, sensitize, form and train all personnel working on behalf of TEMIX OLEO SpA, also on environmental and safety issues, so that everyone can express themselves well, at the highest level of professionalism as well as to understand and implement this Policy;

  14. Provide support to other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership and how it applies to their respective areas of responsibility;

  15. Develop, guide and promote a culture in the organization that supports the expected results of the OSH management system;

  16. Protect workers from retaliation following the reporting of incidents, dangers, risks and opportunities;

  17. Ensure that the organization establishes and implements a process or processes for consultation and participation of workers (see point 5.4);

  18. Support the establishment and operation of the health and safety committees;

  19. Disseminate and support a common vision of the objectives of the company in order to facilitate cross-functional and interpersonal relationships and to give everyone the awareness that everyone's contribution aids in the growth of the company;

  20. To make suppliers accountable for ensuring the quality of products and services and compliance with delivery times;

  21. Implement and maintain an SGQAS in compliance with the standards UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, providing the necessary resources and pursuing the goal of making it even more effective.

     

    Furthermore, with regards to the environmental, safety as well as food safety aspects, the Management of TEMIX OLEO SpA., with the goal of continuous improvement of environmental and safety performance in carrying out its activities, undertakes to:

     

  22. Comply with the current legislation and the voluntary regulations undersigned regarding their environmental, safety and food safety aspects;

  23. To meet the legal requirements and other requirements

  24. Operate in an environmentally friendly manner by producing and marketing sustainable oleochemical products derived from renewable plant and animal sources;

  25. Maintain high standards for the safety, protection of the environment and health of workers, pursuing the objectives set out in order to:

    • Prevent pollution,

    • Prevent accidents, injuries and illnesses;

  26. Define improvement objectives associated with environmental and safety targets for the prevention, elimination or reduction of risks and environmental impacts;

  27. Provide a framework for establishing and reviewing feed safety;

  28. Guarantee continuous improvement aimed at reducing environmental impacts at a level corresponding to the economically viable application of the best technology available;

  29. Operate at the plant and management level with the aim of improving its safety, health and environmental performance, in particular:

    • Reduce waste disposed through the reuse, recycling and recovery of raw materials,

    • Allocate, where possible, the greatest quantity of waste produced to recovery,

    • Progressively reduce emissions into the atmosphere,

    • Reduce the consumption of resources through the optimization of production cycles and technological innovation, eg. reduction of energy consumption through the installation of pumps with inverters and LED lighting fixtures,

    • Maintain constant monitoring of resources (water, electricity, methane),

    • Reduce the number of accidents at work, through the implementation of interventions to improve the safety of existing plants and equipment, an adequate design of new plants and the choice of work equipment that minimizes risk to the health and safety of workers,

    • Give priority to the selection of adequate work equipment, designed in compliance with ergonomic principles and which produce the lowest possible risks to health;

  30. Protect the environment and the safety of the nearby towns and of the personnel working on the site, through continuous monitoring of their activities;

  31. Cooperate with Public Authorities and communicate with the population, pursuing an open dialogue.

  32. Provide safe feed ingredients;

  33. Take the necessary actions to prevent fraud / adulteration in the livestock sector.

To better evaluate the internal improvement and satisfaction of the stakeholders, indicators were introduced, which are periodically reviewed by the Management, and are the basis for setting quantifiable objectives.

The adequacy of this document is assessed at the periodic review by the Management.

The Management also undertakes to disseminate this Policy to all interested parties and to keep it updated through periodic reviews.
